Will my child receive any form of certification?
Yes, they will receive an Adobe certificate in a PDF format after completing the course. They will also receive a digital badge that can be uploaded to their website to show visitors that they have completed the course.
Can my child do more than one Adobe Generation course?
Students can sign up for as many courses as they like, we do however encourage them to ensure that they can complete the course(s) they sign up to given their existing school and personal commitments.
How are the courses structured?
Each course is carefully structured to make learning engaging and understandable. There is a set syllabus, with a different topic each week, along with carefully planned homework assignments and a predefined list of specific learning outcomes.
Who teaches the courses?
The courses are taught by a range of experienced industry and teaching professionals, each with a proven track-record of delivering online learning through Adobe® Connect™. The course is also supported by distinguished guest speakers, from the creative industries.
How much do Adobe Generation courses cost?
Nothing, all Adobe Generation courses are free.
Will I need to purchase Adobe software for the course?
No. Each course gives students a free 60 day trial to the Adobe software required for their course. This trial version is only valid for Adobe Generation students.
How will my child benefit from this course?
Adobe Generation is a great way for your child to experience life as a creative. As well as developing technical skills in their chosen subject, they’ll also learn practical, work-based skills that will help prepare them for employment. They’ll also be rewarded with an Adobe certification.
Does my child need my permission to do this course?
If your child is under 16 years, they will need your permission to join this course. You will also need to confirm that you are happy for your child to receive course-related emails. Students aged 16 years and over do not require parental permission.
Will my child be expected to do homework on this course?
Yes, approximately 1.5 hours per week.
How does this differ from what they learn at school?
Adobe Generation provides two key benefits to students. First are the technical skills they learn in their chosen field (e.g. using colour), second are the life and work skills they acquire along the way (e.g. critiquing work). Whilst some of these skills may overlap with the curriculum, it will only strengthen their confidence and ability. Beyond this, the opportunity to learn from practicing creatives – some of the best in the world – is a unique opportunity.
